Ann Marie (McSweeney) Rhuda-McGrath, of Lynn, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 20, 2023.
Ann Marie was the beloved wife of the late Joseph McGrath, and together, they shared a lifetime of memories and love. She was the devoted mother of Karen Rhuda of Lynn and Richard M. Rhuda and his wife Erika of Melrose, and she cherished her role as a mother, always putting her family first.
She was the loving daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine (Foley) McSweeney of Ireland. She was the dear sister of Mary Krantz of Quincy, with whom she shared a close and loving sibling bond. Ann Marie was also a cherished grandmother to Catherine, Luke, and Ava Rhuda, and she found great joy in being a part of their lives and watching them grow.
Ann Marie was known not only for her loving family, but also for her dedication to her community. She volunteered at Somerville Hospital and the United Way, where she made a lasting impact on the lives of those she helped. She was a graduate of UMass Boston, showcasing her commitment to education and personal growth.
Ann Marie had a special place in her heart for Ireland, as she loved traveling to the Emerald Isle. The beauty and culture of the country held a special fascination for her, and her travels there provided her with cherished memories.
Family and friends are invited to honor Ann Marie's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home - North Shore Chapel, located at 10 Chestnut Street, Peabody, on Wednesday, October 25th from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at Noontime. Services will conclude with Ann Marie being laid to rest at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Peabody.
Ann Marie Rhuda-McGrath's legacy of love, service, and a zest for life will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
