Joaquim Sousa Gomes

Joaquim Sousa Gomes of Peabody, formerly of Portugal, passed away on November 2, 2022 following a difficult battle with terminal cancer.

Joaquim was a free spirit, a hard worker, and enjoyed telling stories of his times in Portugal and surrounding countries. He loved to sing and dance, especially during the holiday season.

Loving son of Maria C. (Sousa) Gomes and the late Joaquim Gomes.

Husband of Maria Adelaide (Couceiro) Gomes.

Beloved father of twins Paula Tereza Couceiro Gomes and Ana Paula Couceiro Gomes.

Dear brother of Jose, Dorinda, and Fernando.
Also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Joaquim's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home- North Shore Chapel, 10 Chestnut Street, Peabody, on Monday, November 7th from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Joaquim will be laid to rest in Portugal.

Joaquim Sousa Gomes de Peabody, ex-Portugal, faleceu no dia 2 de novembro de 2022 após uma difícil batalha contra o câncer terminal.

Joaquim era um espírito livre, trabalhador e gostava de contar histórias dos seus tempos em Portugal e países vizinhos. Ele adorava cantar e dançar, especialmente durante a temporada de férias.

Filho amoroso de Maria C. (Sousa) Gomes e do saudoso Joaquim Gomes.

Marido de Maria Adelaide (Couceiro) Gomes.

Amado pai das gêmeas Paula Tereza Couceiro Gomes e Ana Paula Couceiro Gomes.

Querido irmão de José, Dorinda e Fernando.

Também sobreviveu por suas muitas sobrinhas e sobrinhos amorosos.

Família e amigos vão homenagear a vida de Joaquim reunindo-se na Ruggiero Family Memorial Home- North Shore Chapel, 10 Chestnut Street, Peabody, na segunda-feira, 7 de novembro, a partir das 17h. às 19h00 Joaquim será sepultado em Portugal.
