Maria (Mazza) Salvati

Maria Salvati, born Maria Mazza on October 12, 1940, in Avellino, Italy, peacefully passed away on her 83rd birthday, October 12, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Salvatore Salvati and cherished mother to Margherita Salvati, Anthony Salvati, Gerard Salvati and his wife Elle, and Lucy Antrim and her late husband Frank. Maria was a beloved sister to Lucy Principe, Angela Petruzzelli, Celia Freda, and the late Anthony Mazza. She was a proud grandmother to Erica Salvati, Maria Amaral and her husband Everett, Gerard Salvati and his wife Meagan, Joseph, and Cara Salvati, as well as Frank and Dylan Antrim. Maria was a great-grandmother to Lexiana, Nakala, Gerard Jr. and Everett and great-great-grandmother to Ivy Diane. 

A devoted homemaker, Maria found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, nurturing and caring for them throughout her life. Her love and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met, leaving a lasting impact on her family and friends.

The funeral service to honor Maria's life will be held on Tuesday, October 17, beginning at 10:00 AM with visitation, followed by a funeral prayer service at 11:30 AM at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home North Shore Chapel, located at 10 Chestnut St, Peabody, MA 01960.

Maria Salvati will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband Salvatore at Woodlawn Cemetery, where they will rest in eternal peace together. Maria will be deeply missed, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
