It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Kenneth Corbin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Robert, born on December 17, 1946, to parents John Corbin and Fern (Langois) in Peabody, Massachusetts, left this world on September 29, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Robert was a devoted husband to Bonnie (Cady) Corbin for over 55 years, a loving brother to the late John Corbin Jr., and a proud grandfather to Caitlynne Nelson, husband Stephen Nelson, and great-grandfather to Aleeyah. He had a special place in his heart for his family, and his love and guidance will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Robert was not only a family man but also a cherished member of the community. He leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews and devoted friends who treasured his company and his warm, welcoming spirit. He was a pillar of strength, support, and kindness to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Robert had a passion for geology and was a dedicated member of the East Coast Rock and Mineral Club and the North Shore Mineral Society. His enthusiasm for the natural world and his extensive knowledge in these fields enriched the lives of those around him, fostering a deep appreciation for the wonders of the Earth.
A service to celebrate the life of Robert Kenneth Corbin will be held on Thursday, October 5th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home North Shore, located at 10 Chestnut St, Peabody, MA 01960. Friends, family, and all who wish to pay their respects are welcome to attend and share their memories of this remarkable man.
Robert's legacy of love, generosity, and his enduring spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of the Earth he so dearly loved.
