Thoma Samara, born in Dervichan, Albania on March 8th, 1946, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, May 20th, 2023. A skilled mechanic in Albania, he brought his family to America in 1992, seeking new opportunities and the American Dream.
Thoma had a remarkable talent for tinkering and fixing things, even without the aid of modern technology. Whenever something broke around the house, he would have it fixed before anyone even noticed. His resourcefulness and ability to make things work were truly remarkable.
One of Thoma's greatest joys was visiting Albania with his beloved wife, Engjellushe, and spending time at their beach house. He found solace and tranquility in his morning walks along the shores of Sarande.
Thoma's most cherished relationships were with his devoted wife, Engjellushe, his loving daughter and son, Enkeleida and Elvis, and his adored grandchildren, Chris and Kaitlyn. To Thoma, family always came first, and he treasured the time spent together creating lasting memories.
As we remember Thoma and the legacy he leaves behind, let us carry forward his commitment to the importance of family. We will forever cherish his memory.
Family and friends will honor Thoma's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home North Shore Chapel, Peabody, on Tuesday, May 23rd from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with Thoma being laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery in Salem.
